Script Pool Tallinn is an international script competition for film scripts. Its main goal is to gather five international projects and the team behind them – scriptwriter, producer, and director. The aim is to gather film projects with high distribution value with a final draft in place. Focusing on the script and the overall project presentation, the projects, and their teams will be presented to the international industry decision-makers (sales agents, financiers, and co-producers) whose contribution will increase their sales and distribution potential.

In order to provide them support in enhancing the script and maximising its production and distribution potential, the participants will work together with well-known script doctors and pitching mentors. Each project will have the chance to pitch their story to a top specialist in the field and get one-on-one feedback.

ELIGIBILITY AND SUBMISSIONS

Only teams of producers, screenwriters, and directors can apply with a full treatment of the project, bearing in mind that after pre-selection the last draft of the script has to be ready for the next selection round. The screenwriter needs to have either completed Film studies or built some experience in the film sector.

When submitting the project, please create one dossier pdf file which states the following:

• Original title / English Title
• Genre
• Country(ies) of production
• Director
• Screenwriter
• Producer(s) + (Production company(s) name)
• Biography and filmography of the screenwriter, producer, and director
• A synopsis of the film
• A treatment including a description of characters (max 10 pages)
• An excerpt of the screenplay (max 10 pages)
• Budget outline (please note that projects that have more financing in place will be given priority)

The applicants are asked to send in the requested information and documents, from May 5th to July 15th, 2022.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

• Once selected, participation is subject to payment of an accreditation fee of 150 euros for the first member of the team and 75 euros for additional members
• The official language of the market is English
• Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event covers accommodation, subsistence, and mentoring costs for the participants. Please note that the round-trip airfare is to be paid for by the participants.
• The final selection of the projects will be announced by October 1st at the latest directly to the participants as well as communicated further via the festival/industry press. Submission of the project is considered as acceptance of special conditions.
